FC Porto and Sporting faced each other in two different categories. In 2006/2007, the blues and whites won 3-0 and progressed to the quarter-finals of gold, where they will face Olhanense, while in 2008/2009, they got the better of Sporting, with a 4-2 win.

In the golden quarter-finals, the "Lions" will face Valencia, who eliminated Atlético Madrid 3-0.

In the 16th of the golden final of the 2004 category, Belenenses overcame Liverpool, by 4-2, thus eliminating the only English team in the competition.

In the last 4 of gold, Restelo's blues thrashed Sporting by 0-04 and will now discuss access to the golden semi-finals, against the Germans of Schalke XNUMX.

For this Friday morning, the competition's golden quarter-final matches are scheduled, with emphasis on SL Benfica – FC Barcelona, ​​in the 2004 category, AC Milan – Valencia, in the 2005 category, EIF Ricardo Godoy – SL Benfica, in the 2006/2007 category, Valencia – Sporting CP and SL Benfica – Sevilla FC, in the 2008/2009 category.
