Visit the Minister of Economy to SaoBrasAlportel2Economy Minister Manuel Caldeira Cabral and the secretaries of State for Tourism (Ana Mendes Godinho), Industry (João Vasconcelos) and Energy (Jorge Seguro Sanches) visited the Algarve this Monday.

Besides Albufeira, where Caldeira Cabral presented the lines of credit to support entrepreneurs affected by the floods, the members of the government were in Faro, to meet with entrepreneurs in the tourism sector, present the national strategy of the Hotel and Tourism Schools and visit the company Corticape, then on to Loulé, where they learned more about the project. Loulé Creative Tourism, and São Brás de Alportel, where they visited the company Novacortiça.

The new strategy for the Hotel and Tourism Schools intends to "relaunch and strengthen the role of public schools of Tourism in the qualification of human resources and improvement of the service provided", according to the Minister of Economy.

According to the City Council of São Brás de Alportel, Caldeira Cabral and Ana Mendes Godinho got to know «the best that is done in the region, and in São Brás de Alportel, in particular».

Mayor Vitor Guerreiro conveyed to the Minister and Secretary of State «the great potential of the São Brasense economy, namely in the growing sector of Tourism, in a territory full of natural resources, with an excellent geographic location in the region, which it deserves be enhanced'.

The City Council also adds that "the mayor shared some of the concerns and constraints that affect companies and producers."
