The three big clubs in Portugal started the Mundialito 2016 on the right foot, reaching the full number of victories in the games played over the second day of competition.
In the 2004 category, SL Benfica was the first team to take the field and thrashed the Americans of Wospac Selects NY-NJ White by 12-1, while Sporting beat the Spanish of PMD Aljaraque B by 5-2.
FC Porto did not want to be left behind their rivals and also responded with a rout against EMF San Juan Del Puerto, by 6-1, in the 2006/2007 category.
In this same category, Sporting CP clearly outranked PMD Aljaraque (13-0) and SL Benfica beat CD Montenegro (8-0).
In turn, the 2008/2009 category was the one that registered the biggest routs, with the «lions» winning CD 1889 by 12-1, the «dragons» beating CDI Brossard (Canada) by 13-0 and the «Eagles» defeating Lusitano FC 22-0.
The group stage of the Mundialito 2016 continues until this Wednesday, with more matches held by the Vila Real de Santo António Sports Complex and the Lusitano Futebol Clube and Grupo Desportivo Beira-Mar stadiums.
