Until the 15th of February, the Municipality of Silves will promote an action to collect old photographs of women from the parishes of São Bartolomeu de Messines and São Marcos da Serra, to be part of an exhibition that aims to make the heritage known. intangible cultural heritage of the county.
The traveling exhibition «Mulheres da Nossa Terra» begins on February 27, at the Sociedade de Instrução e Recreio Messinense, and will continue to São Marcos da Serra on March 6, where it will be shown at the Longo da Vida Education Center.
Anyone who wants to contribute with photographs can do so at the associations that will host the exhibitions or at the Parish Councils of SB de Messines and São Marcos da Serra.
This exhibition follows on in the same line as those already organized by the local authority “Weddings of our people” and “From memories to the revolution”.
