Portimonense beat Sporting B by two to zero, this Saturday, at Municipal de Portimão, in a game counting for the 28th round of the II League. The Algarvians were reduced to ten in the thirty minute, when the game was tied at zero, but that did not stop them from securing the three points.

The home team came out bolder and, after 9 minutes, Portimonense players and supporters complained that the Leonino goalkeeper had gone to get a ball that had already crossed the goal line. The referee did not have the same vision, and the null remained.

At 30 minutes, the hero of the League Cup game against Sporting Ewerton's first team, decisive in putting the Algarvians in the semi-final of the competition, was sent off with a direct red.

The situation seemed to get complicated for the home team, but, in the second half, Portimonense managed to take the lead, through Zambujo, in the 63rd minute. Near the end of the match, in the 84th minute, Ricardo Pessoa scored a penalty kick, sealing the final result.

A victory that puts Portimonense in fifth place in the II League, just one point behind the second and third place, and six behind the leader FC Porto B. A temporary situation, since the other games of the 28th round have not yet been played.
