The exhibition “Beyond the Door”, by António Alvélua Correia, will be on display at the Praça do Mar Art Gallery, in Quarteira, between February 27th and March 26th.
The exhibition aims to present a collection that was carried out on wooden doors from houses, mostly degraded, in various parts of the Algarve.
According to the Municipality of Loulé, the theme “is due to the cultural value that the wooden door represents and the beauty that the surrounding tones of the building materials acquire over time, captivating the eyes of those who pass through them”.
The exhibition is free to enter and can be visited from Tuesday to Saturday, from 9:30 am to 13:30 pm and from 15:00 pm to 18:00 pm.
