The president of the Algarve Tourism Region recalled that he has long been asking for a reinforcement of TAP's operation in the Algarve and that the Portuguese company will launch international routes from the airport in Faro.
In a public clarification, Desidério Silva recalled that his concern with this matter "is old" and that it was raised by him "long before other regional political leaders took it as a cause."
