The 39th edition of the Crosse Internacional das Amendoeiras em Flor, proof that it has been considered the best in the world several times, will take place on March 13, at Pista das Açoteias, in the municipality of Albufeira.
This year the program includes the National Championship of Cuts Mato Longo, which will feature the presence of teams from Benfica and Sporting, and also the National Championship of Cuts Mato Masters.
But competitions do not stop there. Before the Crosse and the National Championship, there will also be a regional competition, which has more than half a thousand participants from the Algarve alone. The 14th Corta Mato das Areias de São João starts at 10:00 am, with the groups of Benjamim, Infantil, Initiate and Youth.
Also noteworthy is the Adapted Sports section, which will take place in the afternoon, and which will bring together close to a hundred athletes.
This cross country competition, where the great names in athletics were crowned champions, involves several organizing entities, including the Algarve Athletics Association, Portuguese Athletics Federation, Albufeira City Council and the National Veteran Athletics Association.
