The work, published by the Onda Curta collection, by 4Águas Edições, is characterized as being «a brief black policeman, where the writer alerts us to the fine line that exists between rationality and fanaticism», says the publisher.

The presentation is by Fernando Pessanha, translator of the book and writer from the Algarve, alongside the editors of 4Águas, Fernando Esteves Pinto and Vítor Gil Cardeira.

Born in Asturias, José Piquero also published the works “Las Ruins”, “El buen Discípulo” and “Monstruos perfectos”, winning the Ojo Crítica Prize from the Spanish National Radio. He translated about fifty works, including those by Steinbeck, Stevenson, Dickens, Melville, Fitzgerald, and Arthur Miller.

Currently lives in Islantilla (Huelva).

The event is free.
