The Council of Lagoa is going to invest 700 thousand euros in the contract for “Execution of the supply water network in the Caramujeira area”. To this end, at the Chamber meeting on the 2nd, the opening of the public tender for the award of the work was approved.
The contract includes the construction of approximately 20 kilometers of water supply pipelines, with 260 branches for domestic supply, 26 fire marks and 60 fire hydrants, thus enabling the service of around 269 homes.
The works will include the lifting and replacement of existing paving and all related works, excavation to open a trench for laying the pipelines, supply and laying of PVC pipes, supply and installation of fire marks and hydrants and supply and laying of household extensions.
The contract term is 225 days.
Despite being an area of the county that has grown a lot in recent decades, Caramujeira, located near the beaches of Marinha and Albandeira, still does not have a water supply.
