The former Minister of Agriculture and candidate for the presidency of the CDP-PP Assunção Cristas will be at the Hotel tomorrow night, at 21 pm Faro, for a meeting with militants, as part of his candidacy for party president.
According to José Pedro Caçorino, president of the CDS-PP in the Algarve, «Asunción Cristas has been traveling the country to present its strategy motion, but also to receive ideas and contributions from the grassroots».
The regional leader adds that Cristas "does not only want to receive contributions from militants, she is also open, and even encourages, the emergence of ideas and contributions from independents, thus giving an important sign of the party's openness."
For now, Assunção Cristas is the only candidate assumed to succeed Paulo Portas, and other possible candidacies have to be delivered by February 20th.
