The Administration of the Ports of Sines and Algarve (APS) installed new external signage on the accesses to the Ports of Faro and Portimão, to "improve the service provided to customers in the two Algarve ports".
At the Port of Portimão, the signposts for pedestrian accesses between the port, the city center and Praia da Rocha stand out, which aim to direct cruise ship passengers to two of the most visited tourist sites at each stopover. This new sign has the particularity of being written in Portuguese, English… and Chinese.
The maritime station was also subject to new external signage, as well as, in the area of the maritime walkway, the identifying signage of the various existing wharves was renewed.
The intervention in the Port of Faro it intended to improve the existing road signs, as well as the identification of the port area, contributing to faster access and better information for road hauliers.
