The Association of Commerce and Services of the Algarve Region (ACRAL) reiterates the urgency of activating special credit lines to support Albufeira merchants affected by the storm on 1 November.
Since the survey of the damage caused by the floods has already been carried out and handed over to the Government, ACRAL now hopes that «the access of the victims to the emergency fund will be done as a matter of urgency».
According to the Portuguese Association of Insurers (APS), the damage caused by last year's floods exceeds 14 million euros.
The Algarve trade association also considers «the need for companies to reorganize themselves, with a view to preparing two periods of major importance for trade and services, Easter and Summer». “There is no more time to lose”, he concludes.
