The “Virgem Suta” are going to heat up another January night at the Casa do Povo in Santo Estêvão. The duo, from Beja, will return to Barrocal de Tavira next Saturday, 23 January, at 22 pm.
José Barradas, chairman of the board of the Casa do Povo of Santo Estêvão, told the Sul Informação that in this concert will be played «the best known songs such as “Linhas Cruzadas”, “Maria Alice”, or “Beija-me na Boca”, but also songs from “Limbo” [the new album] with very interesting music and lyrics. People will be pleased to hear the old themes and know what the Virgo Suta have to propose with “Limbo”».
It is to present “Limbo” that the Virgin Suta return to Santo Estêvão, after a three-year break without a new album. «Nuno and Jorge launched their new work and are doing a national publicity tour. The Virgin Suta already have a very well-known career, they have already recorded with Manuela Azevedo dos Clã and, recently, Ultraleve, a duo in which Nuno is part, alongside Bruno Vasconcelos, was nominated for the Latin Grammys».
The new work of the Virgo Suta was produced by Nuno Rafael, «Sergio Godinho's ally since Domingo no Mundo (1997), but also one of the creators of that special moment that were Humans, in addition to having collaborated with bands as different as Dead Combo , The Poppers, OIOAI or Xutos e Pontapés, and having already participated in “Doce Lar”», the CPSE said.
This is the penultimate show of the cycle “Janeiro Quente” of the Casa do Povo of Santo Estêvão, which opened with a Charolas Meeting and, last weekend, received a “Rally-Concert” by Manuel João Vieira.
