Three people were seriously injured following a frontal collision between two light vehicles, which took place this Saturday, at around 11:30 am, on the EN 125, in a curve next to the Zoomarine water park, in  Pear sense - Guide.

Second revealed to Sul Informação the District Relief Operations Center, all victims were referred to hospitals and there was a need for extrication.

Although the CDOS did not provide more details about the victims, the Sul Informação He found that in one of the vehicles, a rented Seat, a couple of sixty-year-old Swedish tourists were traveling, while the other, a BMW, was driven by an 80-year-old English citizen who had lived in the Algarve.

Eyewitnesses to the accident say that the British driver had been overtaking out of hand, in an area with three lanes, two ascending and one descending, ending up colliding head-on with the car where the Swedes were traveling.

In the accident, a third vehicle was also hit, a truck, whose driver was not injured.

In two of the cases, the seriously injured were transported to the Hospital de Faro. In the other, the victim was taken to the Hospital de Portimão.

The ostentatious accident forced the road to be cut for more than an hour, but circulation has since been restored.

There were two VMER vehicles and an INEM ambulance, five vehicles and 12 firefighters from Albufeira, Lagoa and Silves, GNR and elements of the Rotas do Algarve Litoral concessionaire.
