Across the country, IP increased by five cents 34 of the 550 toll tariffs on the highways under its concession in 2016.

According to Infraestruturas de Portugal, the annual update of toll rates, which is based on the evolution of the Consumer Price Index (IPC), is reflected “almost only” in the tariffs applied to classes 2, 3 or 4.

Thus, on the Via do Infante (A22) the only change is in the Tavira-Monte Gordo for class 4 vehicles.

On the A29 (Costa de Prata), the fare for class 2 vehicles on the Salreu-Estarreja section and for class 4 vehicles on the Estarreja-Ovar section increases by five cents, while on the A42 (Grande Porto) the five cent increase is applied to vehicles class 3 on the EN 106 Norte-Lousada (IP9) section.

On the A28 (North Litoral), the upgrade is made in the Póvoa de Varzim-Estela section for class 2 vehicles and Esposende-Antas for class 4 vehicles, while on the A23 (Beira Interior) the increase of five cents applies in the Alcaria-Covilhã Sul stretch for class 2, Sarnadas/Retaxo-Castelo Branco Sul and Soalheira-Castelo Novo for class 3 and Mouriscas-Mação, Hospital-Castelo Branco Norte and Soalheira-Castelo Novo for class 4.

On the A24, the Vidago-Pedras Salgadas and Vila Real (IP4)-A4 sections are updated for class 2, the Chaves-EN103 route for classes 3 and 4 and, for the latter, also the Portela-Peso da Régua section.

As for the A25 (Beiras Litoral and Alta), the five-cent climb applies to class 2 vehicles on the Boa Aldeia Nascente-Fail section and to class 4 on the Reigoso-Cambarinho, EN231-EN2 and Mangualde-Chãs de Tavares routes .

In the North concession, with a real toll, there is an update of tariffs in six of a total of 30 sections: for class 1 vehicles, the Fafe-Basto and Ribeira de Pena-IP3 routes are increased; for class 2 the Calvos-Vizela node; for class 3 those from Celeirós-Guimarães Oeste, Calvos-Vizela and Vizela-Felgueiras; and for class 4, the Basto-Ribeira Pena section.

In the case of Baixo Tejo (A33) and Pinhal Interior (A13) subconcessions, this update is applied to four of the total 25 existing frames and represents an average increase in value of 0,3%.

On the A13, prices will go up by five cents for class 1 vehicles on the Nó section with the EN342-Condeixa junction and Condeixa junction-Coimbra Sul junction and only on this last route in the case of class 3 vehicles.

On the A33, class 2 cars between the Belverde Junction and Laranjeiras Junction, class 3 between the Palhais Junction-Queimada Junction and class 4 between the Coina Junction with the EN10 and the Junction begin to pay more. of Penalva.

In the Autoestrada Transmontana and Litoral Oeste sub-concessions, there is no change in toll rates.

According to IP, currently the freight transport companies, mostly users of higher class vehicles, already benefit from a 10% discount on toll prices during the day and 25% at night.
