Presidential candidate Maria de Belém was the 4th most voted in most municipalities in the Algarve, having only managed to surpass Marisa Matias in Alcoutim, where she was the 3rd most voted, having also obtained her most expressive vote there (8,23%).
However, Maria de Belém was also surpassed by Edgar Silva in two municipalities: in Silves and in Vila Real de Santo António, municipalities where the communist electorate is always very popular.
However, the candidate's lowest vote was obtained in Albufeira, where she stood at 4,22%.
Throughout the Algarve, Maria de Belém obtained 4,40% of the votes cast by the Algarve voters.
