fitur8[11]Lagoa participated in FITUR – International Tourism Fair, in Madrid, between the 20th and 24th of January, one of the largest tourism fairs in Europe and the largest in Spain, which in this 36th edition was attended by 165 countries and around 232 visitors.

Lagoa, which this year is “City of Wine 2016”, presented itself with its own 40 square meter stand, where some hotels in the municipality that wanted to join the Municipality were also present, in this strategy to promote the Lagoa destination at the level International.

During the five days of the event, Lagoa presented the new promotional brochure, under the seal of the new brand, with the objective of making known its reality and its potential, not only in terms of the main product, which is “sun and sea ”, but also golf, nature tourism, its gastronomy, events, and the offer in terms of spaces for large sporting and cultural events, with a diversified offer, for the whole year.

fitur11[5]Visitors who passed by the Lagoa stand also had the opportunity to taste the region's wines, of high quality and holders of national and international awards.

Participation in FITUR is part of a strategy outlined for 2016, «in which Spain assumes itself as an unavoidable strategic market, either because of its proximity or because of its adherence to the “all year round” concept», stresses the Câmara de Lagoa.
