The biggest nautical fair in the world, Boot, takes place quite far from the sea, in Düsseldorf, Germany, using the River Rhine as an access route, in addition to its free motorways and good roads. And this time the Algarve will be present in force.
It is a world of actions, initiatives, information and dreams that are at the service of the public who gather at this great fair, which is the most important exhibition of the nautical and underwater industry worldwide, in which around 50% of the exhibitors come from abroad. from Germany.
And this year the Algarve will have its biggest representation ever. The Portimão Tourism Association (which has been there for the third consecutive year), with Portimão companies Portiate Charters Portugal, Marina de Portimão, Ocean Revival and Subnauta, as well as Marina de Lagos, and the Municipality of Vila do Bispo are participating. , with several companies from Sagres, namely Cape Cruise, Divers Cape, Mar Ilimitado – Turismo e Pesquisa, SeaExplorer and Sagres Natura Surf Camp. Some of these firms and entities are part of the recently created “Sea of Portugal” brand movement (integrated in Notícias do Mar).
Absent this year is Vilamoura Marina, despite having been, for a long time, one of the few Algarve companies participating in this great event.
The hustle and bustle that has been going on for weeks in the boat Düsseldorf is enormous, as it is a huge job to transport and adequately display more than 1800 boats, including a special show of Dutch steel yachts, 150 multihull exhibitors, 60 large and luxurious yachts, some 25 meters long, in addition to the immense sailboats, production of 440 shipyards.
this is the famous boat, which is in its 47th edition, taking place from the 23rd to the 31st of January, where the expected 250.000 visitors delight in the different themes and novelties brought by the 1700 exhibitors, from 60 countries, distributed throughout the 17 huge pavilions of the city's fair park .
A boat covers numerous sports, nautical products and everything related to it, the visitor can even try some of them in the large swimming pool in Hall 1 or in the diving tank in Hall 3.
