Edgar Silva was the 4th most voted candidate in two traditional communist bastions, the municipalities of Vila Real de Santo António and Silves, where he obtained 7,77% and 6,12% of the votes, respectively.
In four municipalities – Aljezur, Portimão, São Brás de Alportel and Tavira – Edgar Silva was 6th most voted, in two he was the 7th most voted (Loulé and Albufeira) and in the others he was 5th.
At regional level, the candidate supported by the PCP obtained 3,55% of the votes, being the 5th most voted by the Algarve.
