Jose AmarelinhoThe Mayor of Aljezur met yesterday with the Secretary of State for Spatial Planning and Nature Conservation Célia Ramos, to talk about the Detailed Plan for Vale da Telha.

According to the Municipality of Aljezur, José Amarelinho made Célia Ramos aware of the problems in Vale da Telha, and told her “of the work developed so far”.

The Chamber is currently awaiting opinions from the CCDR Algarve – which is monitoring the preparation of the Detailed Plan – as well as any recommendations from the newly created National Territory Commission, so that it can close the Plan proposal, and submit the presentation and discussion public.

The Algarve authority emphasizes that “this is a very complex work, which has suffered immense setbacks, but which for the first time is being prepared in a concerted and articulated manner between the various entities and bodies”.

For the Municipality of Aljezur, the Detailed Plan "will enhance the natural and landscape heritage of the area, requalify and rehabilitate the space, safeguarding and defending the acquired rights of property owners and urban parcels/lots, also providing an area with an exclusive character tourist'.
