The Ferragudo Market will be closed from the 4th to the 18th of January to carry out the refurbishment works of this commercial space, with a view to installing a new ATM machine.
The implantation of a new ATM is an urgent measure, considers the local Parish Council, in view of the automatic banking services “almost non-existent in the village”.
Basically, it is about guaranteeing “minimum services” to the population. «Despite the efforts made with several banking institutions to maintain the existing ATMs in the Vila, [the Parish Council] did not manage to maintain these in the existing locations on their part", describes the Council.
This new machine will be installed by Novo Banco, with whom the Parish Council negotiated, and will remain a public space, managed by that municipality, which guarantees that this is a solution that will last for years to come.
