Algarve Chefs Week 5.0_LogoThe Makro company will sponsor a solidarity initiative in favor of Instituto D. Francisco Gomes – Casa dos Meninos de Faro and the Homeless Support Center (CASA), on December 11th, next Friday. This activity is on to Algarve Chefs Week, of which the wholesale distribution chain is the official supplier.

Renowned chefs will be the protagonists of a Christmas workshop where they “will reveal culinary secrets”, on the morning of the 11th, at the Casa dos Meninos premises. The performance of the musician from Faro, Diogo Piçarra, is also planned, followed by an autograph session. The institution's children and young people will also have the right to taste some of the delicacies prepared at lunch.

In the evening, a dinner will be held at the NAU Salgados Palace hotel, the profits of which will revert in full to the children's institutions involved. The event will be open to the public and will cost 30 euros per person (includes a 5-course menu and a selection of drinks).

The dishes to be served will be prepared by a luxury team, made up of renowned chefs Diogo Pereira (Pine Cliffs Resort), Miguel Lourenço (Vale D'Oliveiras Quinta Resort & Spa), José Botelho (Conrad Algarve), Vítor Monteiro ( NAU Salgados Dunas Suites), José Leitão (NAU Salgados Palace), David Domingues (Praia Verde Boutique Hotel), Bruno Rocha (Tivoli Victoria), Ricardo Ferreira (Tivoli Marina Vilamoura) and Miguel Teixeira (Vidamar Resort Algarve)», according to Makro . Also here, the animation will be in charge of Diogo Piçarra.

“Christmas is a privileged time to focus on those who need us most, leading Makro to strengthen its social action. We believe that anyone can make a difference and play a role in someone else's life, which motivates us to participate in this solidarity initiative. On the 11th, everyone is invited to enjoy a dinner that I'm sure will be extraordinary, to the sound of a Portuguese artist, while contributing to better conditions for the children of Casa dos Meninos and CASA”, illustrated Isabel Caeiro, Responsible for Communication of Makro Portugal.

The chefs involved consider that “the organization of Algarve Chefs Week could not be more grateful to Makro for the support given to the organization of the Christmas Solidarity event, which will certainly help all children covered by Instituto D. Francisco Gomes and Support Center for the Homeless".
