Mexico in Portugal Alfredo Pérez Bravo - CMLoule - MiraAlfredo Pérez Bravo, Mexico's Ambassador to Portugal, was in Loulé last Wednesday to create points of contact with companies in the municipality, especially those operating in the area of exports.

According to the Loulé municipality, «the Municipality of Loulé served as a bridge between this Latin American official and businessmen, particularly in the tourism sector, with a view to future collaborations».

Since taking office in March this year, Alfredo Pérez Bravo has visited several
regions of the country, in an attempt to better understand the potential in order to establish future cooperation.

The Chamber of Loulé explains that «the existence of a Luso-Mexican Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in which one of the honorary consuls is in the Algarve, has been a determining factor in bringing businesspeople from the Municipality closer to Mexico, as its main mission is to implement and develop a set of initiatives that can contribute to the development of socio-economic relations, playing an active mediating role in the relationship between Portuguese and Mexican economic agents».

For municipal officials, "this visit is part of the internationalization policy of the Municipality of Loulé that has been followed since the beginning of the mandate, receiving visits from diplomatic representatives from various Latin American countries such as Argentina, Cuba or Venezuela, with the objective of instituting relationships whether in the economic, social, cultural or even health areas». The Municipality of Loulé is, moreover, a member of the Casa da América Latina in Portugal.
