The city center of Loulé will be decked out with Christmas motifs and will receive several entertainment initiatives next weekend.
This is an initiative of the Chamber of Loulé that aims to "stimulate traditional commerce in those that will be the last shopping days before Christmas", according to the municipality.
On Friday, the 18th, from 20:30 pm, a Christmas Race March will take place. Participants will depart from “Aldeia dos Sonhos” (Cerca do Convento), for a race that will have two courses, one of 6,7 kilometers and 10,5 kilometers. Also on Friday, at 21 pm Lígia Pereira takes a musical show by «Gospel» to the Cine-Teatro Louletano, inspired by the Christmas season, to which she will invite several friends.
On the 19th, Saturday, at 15 pm, a children's choir will perform the concert «30 Canção, 1 Cantores», in the space between the Municipal Market building and the Town Hall. The young singers will present a Christmas theme by Mozart.
Al-Fanfare also bring Christmas music to the city, traveling from 16 pm to its main streets.
On Sunday, the 20th, the Loulé Municipal Sports Pavilion receives the children's show «Ruca – Christmas Show», with two sessions that will have a full house.
As part of the Christmas Song Cycle, Afonso Dias will be on Saturday at the Church of Nossa Senhora das Conceição, in Loulé, from 16 pm. At the same time, at the Church of Nossa Senhora da Assunção, attention turns to the harpsichord concert by Japanese artist Michio O'Hara. This Cycle ends on the 20th, Sunday, with the Christmas Concert by the Orquestra Clássica do Sul, at the Church of S. Pedro do Mar, in Quarteira, at 16 pm.
Also on Sunday, at 16 pm, the Banda Filarmónica Artistas de Minerva will take to the stage of the Cine-teatro Louletano for a concert with an unprecedented format, which brings together philharmonic music and theatre.
The animation can also be found in the «Aldeia dos Sonhos», a space that is already operating and has attracted many people. This entertainment area has a skating rink, a wooden carousel, a Christmas train, a slide and a Santa Claus house.
