Carlos LuisCarlos Gonçalves Luís was unanimously re-elected president of ATA – Associação Turismo do Algarve, for a term of three years, at the general meeting held yesterday, December 2, during which the elections for the new governing bodies of ATA took place. , namely the Management, General Assembly and Supervisory Board.

Carlos Gonçalves Luís, travel agent since 1963, owner of the Algarve company Topcar and president of CEAL (Confederation of Entrepreneurs of the Algarve), was also president of APAVT for six years and Gold Medal of RTA and APAVT.

Carlos Luís said that «the re-election as president of ATA is the recognition of two years of work by an entire team and will allow us to continue the work for the promotion of tourism in the Algarve».

The election also confirmed the remaining components, with the exception of the representative of ANA Aeroportos. Therefore, as vice-presidents, Desidério Silva, Victor Faria, representing AIHSA (Association of Hoteliers and Similar Industries of the Algarve), Elidérico Viegas, representative of AHETA (Association of Hoteliers and Enterprises) continue to be part of the ATA's Board of Directors.
