little ovens_2The village of Furnazinhas, in the interior of the municipality of Castro Marim, its landscape, traditions, history and people are the reason for another Nature Walk promoted by the Núcleo do Algarve of the League for Nature Protection, on Saturday, 7th November.

The organization explains that the pedestrian route, which will have José Godinho as a guide, will start from Furnazinhas, with its narrow streets and whitewashed houses. In a circular route, participants will walk along paths flanked by stone walls to reach the water level of Albufeira de Odeleite.

Along the way, the presence of threshing floors and an old copper mine, among other curiosities, attest to the way in which man sought and continues to seek to take advantage of the natural resources that the land offers.

Registration is mandatory and must be made by Thursday, November 5th, to the email [email protected], or by SMS to the mobile phone 969158930, indicating name, date of birth, ID number or Passport, for the purposes of mandatory insurance.

Meeting point: 9:30 am together in the center of Furnazinhas, parish of Odeleite, Castro Marim.
