Forum Algarve's ice rink and Christmas village were inaugurated last Saturday and will animate the shopping center of the Algarve capital until 6 January 2016. The Christmas entertainment at this complex will have a social aspect associated with it, with part of the revenue that is raised to revert in favor of three institutions of Faro.
In 2015, skating on the ice rink also means helping entities that are dedicated to different causes: Refúgio Aboim Ascensão, APPC – Portuguese Association of Cerebral Palsy (Delegation of Faro) and PRAVI/Faro. And you can help while sliding on ice.
Anyone who buys a 2 euro entry ticket on the track will receive a XNUMX euro "Golden Ticket". Inside the ice rink that will be installed at the Forum Algarve's Central Square there will be three Christmas trees, one for each supported institution. Afterwards, skaters just have to choose the institution and place the “Golden Ticket” in the box next to the tree that represents it.
In addition to this space, which appeals to the general public, the Faro shopping center has also installed the traditional village of Natal, a wink for the youngsters.
«It is possible to find the Father Christmas House, where photographs will be taken and where requests can be made to Father Christmas. All children will also receive the 9th edition of Livro do Gui», announced Forum Algarve, in a press release.
The village will also have a Santa Claus Toys Workshop and a House of Ateliers, where various activities for the little ones will take place (see list below). Participation in the initiatives that take place there requires prior registration at the Information Desk.
Santa Claus Village is open Monday to Friday from 10:30 am to 22 pm and on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 10 am to 22 pm. Santa Claus can be found on his throne every day from 11 am to 13 pm, from 14:30 pm to 17:30 pm and from 18 pm to 20 pm, except on Wednesdays.
