DHSaoBrásAlportelFonte Férrea Park, in São Brás de Alportel, receives, this weekend, the last stage of the Algarve Downhill Cup. According to the Câmara Sambrasense, "hundreds of athletes" will fight for the first place on the podium in this competition.

The track where the Algarve Cup will be played is «totally remodeled for this purpose, with new challenges, raising this extreme sport to the highest levels of adrenaline and difficulty».

According to the local authority, "in addition to testing the skill of the athletes, this sporting spectacle will have several points of interest for the public, admirable high-speed descents, breath-holding jumps and many other surprises."

On Saturday, November 28, the secretariat opens in the morning from 09:00 am to 12:30 pm and in the afternoon from 14:00 pm to 17:00 pm, with a meeting of teams and directors at 17:30 pm.

On Sunday, the 29th, official training takes place between 08:30 am and 10:00 am. The first qualifying heat starts at 10am, and the final heat starts at 30pm.

The awards ceremony will take place at 14:30 pm on the podium placed in the event padock.

This is an initiative organized by the X Dream Balsius Association, with the support of the Municipality of São Brás de Alportel, Portuguese Cycling Federation, Motoclube Faro and MTB Algarve.
