programmers of Faro, National Capital of Culture 2005 will meet again tomorrow, Friday, at 18 pm, in the «Café com Letras» initiative, which the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve and the University of Algarve will promote at the Forum's FNAC store Algarve, in Faro.
The session aims to “promote reflection and debate around cultural events as a component of local and regional cultural policy”. Already confirmed are the presence of Pedro Ferré (Literature), Jorge Queiroz (Plastic Arts and Exhibitions) and Miguel Abreu (Theatre), who will be joined by the team that was part of the event's mission structure, which was invited «to mark presence and to share their experience in this meeting», according to the DR of Culture.
“The pros and cons of the model adopted for the FCNC 2005 as well as the sharing of knowledge about other international cases will be part of the discussion topics”, announced the organization.
The moderator of this debate will be the director of the libraries of the University of Algarve Adriana Nogueira, who succeeded in this position the late António Rosa Mendes, who was the president of the structure of the Mission of Faro 2005.
The Regional Directorate of Culture and UAlg took advantage of the fact that it was recently announced that the Algarve capital will apply to be European Capital of Culture, in 2027, to invite the director of the Municipal Theater of Faro Joaquim Guerreiro joining this conversation.
