Simulacro Loulé Cine-TheatreThe International Day for Disaster Reduction will be marked in Loulé, on the 13th of October, with two lectures at the Cine-Teatro Louletano, addressed to 1st cycle school students and a fire drill, with total evacuation of the building, « thus testing the building's internal security structure», according to the Câmara de Loulé, which promotes the initiative.

The lectures are scheduled for 10 am and 14:30 pm. The simulacrum will take place right after the morning session and everything will take place “as if it were a real situation”.

Loulé Council, in addition to teaching the youngest how to proceed in the event of a catastrophe, takes the opportunity to comply with the legislation in force, "which refers to the obligation to carry out a drill every two years according to the type of building".

The International Day for Disaster Reduction was instituted by the United Nations in 1989, «with the purpose of sensitizing governments, organizations and citizens around the world to the need to develop actions that contribute to preventing and reducing vulnerabilities and increase the capacity to respond to the occurrence of serious accidents or disasters caused by natural hazards'.
