The «Winter Time» starts next Sunday, October 25th, when we leave summer time and return to true solar time. This Winter Time runs until the 27th of March 2016.
So, don't forget to set your clock back one hour at 2 am on Sunday (in Mainland Portugal and Madeira). As always, in the Azores Archipelago the change is made at 1 am (which becomes midnight).
Due to this change, on the 24th, the Sun, in Porto, rises at 7:56 am, and the following day at 6:57 am. The difference is only 1 minute (minus an hour).
This change to winter time also means that on Sunday we can spend another hour in bed. Or that we will have one more hour to devote to the hobby we like the most…or to work.
