Algarve Regional Health Administration ARSThe Health Extensions of Santo Estêvão (Tavira) and Fuseta (Olhão) will be the target of works, starting this month of October, in a total investment of around 80 thousand euros, revealed the Regional Health Administration (ARS) of the Algarve .

In these units, which are part of the Sotavento and Central Health Center Groups, conservation and improvement works are planned, which include the adaptation of the facilities for people with limited mobility, in particular, the sanitary facilities of users and the reception desk/ secretariat, the creation of dirty and eviction rooms, as well as the installation of a solar thermal system to heat sanitary hot water in these extensions.

In the area of ​​electrical installations and telecommunications, a structured voice and data network will be installed, as well as a user call system through the telephone system. The intervention also aims to improve the DTT terrestrial digital signal reception system.

The works should be completed by the end of 2015.

According to the ARS, those works are part of the «process of restructuring and reorganization of health services in the region, taking place continuously, with the objective of contributing to the improvement of accessibility, comfort and greater humanization of health care provided to the population'. an in-depth intervention at the Lagos Health Center.
