Dream Music IV_Coral OssónobaGrupo Coral Ossónoba will make a musical trip from Portugal to Greece, in a new edition of the show «Sonho da Música», which Teatro das Figuras, in Faro, welcomes on Saturday, October 24th, at 21 pm.

The special guests of this concert are the opera singer Carlos Guilherme, the Companhia de Dança do Algarve and the Trio Osmose, who will join the three choirs of the Faro association.

This year, the big news is linked to the inclusion of a solidarity aspect, in support of the Portuguese Association of Cerebral Paralysis (APPC). For each ticket sold, Coral Ossónoba will offer one euro to this institution.

The show begins with the performance of the group Pequenos Cantores d'Ossónoba, who will interpret songs from children's series, under the direction of Verónica Rosovà. This is followed by a tribute to the 450th anniversary of the city of Rio de Janeiro, in Brazil, by Coral Ossónoba, with Nuno Sequeira Rodrigues in the artistic command, accompanied by the group Trio Osmose. To finish the first part, singer Carlos Guilherme will brighten the concert with Árias de Ópera.

Dream of Music 2014_Coral Ossónoba«The second part, starring Carlos Guilherme, Ossónoba-Youth Choir, Coral Ossónoba and with the piano accompaniment of Luís Conceição, will give spectators the opportunity to travel through the 60s, with striking melodies from Portugal, Spain, France, Italy and Greece”, according to the Coral Ossónoba.

To complement this presentation, the Companhia de Dança do Algarve and the Trio Osmose will also take to the stage.

As for the solidarity aspect of the event, the responsible for the organization António Monteiro Dias says that it is a “very dear” idea for the Grupo Coral Ossónoba association.

“During all these years many have been in solidarity with us and to them we owe our livelihood and survival. The time has come, therefore, for us too, with the little we have, to help institutions that, like us, have great goals but scarce resources," he explained.
