Casa do Sal, in Castro Marim, will host the exhibition “Children in the World with Rights”, from 4 to 30 November. The exhibition is organized by the Child Support Institute and taken to the Eastern Algarve by the Commission for the Protection of Children and Youth at Risk (CPCJ).

The exhibition 38 large-scale panels, which talk about the social, economic and political context of 18 countries and the way in which Children's Rights are put into practice. Some Portuguese projects that work in the area of ​​Children's Rights are also presented and various works carried out in various schools are disclosed, as part of the commemorations of the 50th anniversary of the Declaration of the Rights of the Child and the 20th anniversary of the Conservation on the Rights of the Child, on the day November 20, 2009.

"Children in the World with Rights" was built by children and young people from various schools in the country, both in the development of content and in its graphic design, which is the responsibility of the Graphic Design students at EPI – Escola Profissional de Imagem.

«At a time when the CPCJ de Castro Marim celebrates its 2nd anniversary, this exhibition aims to inform and raise awareness among young people, teachers and parents that the implementation of a “new culture” of children must be a goal and responsibility of all, warning about how much remains to be done around the Rights of the Child and what contribution each one can make», according to the Chamber of Castro Marim.
