The traditional Feira de São Miguel comes back to life in Olhão between the 23rd and the 29th of September and will be installed in the car park in front of the GNR in Olhão (next to the Fishing Port). The event, which has been taking place for over 130 years, will feature more than 50 exhibitors, a catering tent and a space for entertainment.
"There will also be plenty of food, popcorn, bread with chorizo and other flavors characteristic of this festive atmosphere," described the Chamber of Olhão, which supports this event, organized by the company CR20.
The holding of this fair will require traffic restrictions, between the 18th and 30th of September, namely in the area between Av. 5 de Outubro, next to Cais T and the old fish market, already on Av. 16 de Junho (traffic will be cut in the direction Faro-Tavira).
This centenary event had its heyday "in the 60s of the last century until the 90s". «It was from 1968 that it was given the name of Feira de S. Miguel», according to the municipality.
