Northern variant of Faro days away from opening_3A variant to Faro will be inaugurated next Monday, the 17th, from 17:00.

The inauguration plaque will be unveiled by the Minister of Economy António Pires de Lima at 17:45 pm, with the road being opened to the public «a few minutes after the ceremony».

Source from Infraestruturas de Portugal (IP) contacted by Sul Informação revealed that at this moment «the inspection is already underway» and that only «finishings» are needed in the work.

The Economy Minister will be in Faro accompanied by Sérgio Monteiro, Secretary of State for Infrastructure, Transport and Communications, and by António Ramalho, Chairman of the Executive Board of Directors of IP. The ceremony will take place at the Top of Faro of the Variant (connection with N2).
