Jardim da Verbena, in the Historic Center of São Brás de Alportel, can now also be visited by citizens with reduced mobility, after the creation of an entrance and an accessible circuit.
According to the City Council of São Brás de Alportel, «the implementation of this accessible circuit gives continuity to the Municipal Plan for the Promotion of Accessibility “São Brás Accessible for all”, which seeks to gradually eliminate all barriers, so that São Brás de Alportel truly becomes a land accessible for all'.
This intervention was part of the 6th and final phase of the Historic Center's Rehabilitation and Paving Project, and «was intended to facilitate access to the Verbena concert area, the most emblematic outdoor cultural space, with strong expression in the History of São Brás de Alportel and in the memories of generations of São Brasenses».
