The Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth, in Faro, will host on August 22nd and 23rd the fourth edition of the Manga & Comic Event.
According to the NGA Association – Núcleo de Geeks do Algarve, which organizes the initiative, this «is a socio-cultural and artistic event with the perspective of valuing culture pop e geek, western and eastern, in its most diverse aspects such as: comics, animation, literature, cinema, cosplay, board games and video games, among many others».
With the Manga & Comic Event, the Algarve Geeks Nucleus intends to «not only show emerging values in the most diverse areas, through the promotion of professional or amateur specialty stores, but also promote workshops, tournaments, competitions, discussion panels and activities promoted by associations or groups aimed at the event's target audience».
The initiative organized by the NGA Association – Núcleo Geeks do Algarve, with the support of the Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth and the Municipality of Faro, «so fits in a set of activities that aim to unify and dynamize the Portuguese community around these themes»
