Algarve octopusDocapesca is going to promote mackerel and octopus in cooking classes that it will promote at the 36th edition of Fatacil – Lagoa Handicraft, Tourism, Agriculture, Trade and Industry Fair, on Friday and Saturday, August 21st and 22nd .

On the first day of the fair, 21st of August, at 21 pm, Docapesca will teach how to make mackerel hamburgers. On Saturday, from 18 pm, the star will be the octopus of the Algarve auctions.

The classes, open to all visitors, will take place at the “aMARaTERRA” space, an initiative of the Algarve Regional Directorate of Agriculture and Fisheries.

The company promises to take the Lagoa «innovative ways of making these species of fish of great relevance to the fishing communities of this region».

«This participation is part of the CCL project – Proof of Purchase in Auction, co-financed by the PROMAR program. The objective of CCL is to contribute to the qualitative and quantitative valuation of fish and, consequently, to the sustainability of the resources, to increase the profitability of the Fisheries sector in Portugal and the remuneration of our fishermen», states Docapesca.

«Fatacil is one of the main events in the Algarve region, and one of the most important in Portugal, with the presence of 600 exhibitors from the gastronomy, handicraft and regional products sectors», recalled the public company.
