back to algarve sailing_1At the end of the 3rd day of regattas of the XXIII Volta ao Algarve à Vela 2015, there are only three races in progress, but there is already the third leader of the race. The winner is decided today.

On Friday, two regattas were planned, one technical and the other coastal, linking Albufeira to Vilamoura. Due to the lack of wind, the first was cancelled, with only the coastal regatta being held.

At the end of the day, Peter Keeping's “Leonardo” (CIMAV) triumphed, getting the better of João Coutinho's “Tomate” (GCNF), and Rui Belchior's “Paquito”, taking the lead in the XXIII The “Zdamen”, by José Sampaio, returns to the Algarve à Vela 2015.

This Saturday, the biggest stage of the race took place, linking Vilamoura to Tavira. The wind helped and allowed the start to be given at hours (11:35), maintaining itself throughout the race.

At the end of the day, the stage podium was the same as yesterday, led by “Leonardo”, “Tomate” and “Paquito”.
