crowsWater activities will combine with music, dance and performing arts to liven up the city of Quarteira, in a new edition of the event «Mare Funtastic», which the Câmara de Loulé will promote on the 31st of July, in Praça do Mar, starting from 21 pm.

The Loulé municipality takes advantage of the presence of many vacationers to present them with a “different and daring entertainment program”. The highlights of the initiative will be a show of flyboard, in which two practitioners of this modality will perform «several maritime acrobatics, including mortals, tall dolphins, back flips, screws and much more» and a concert by Corvos, a Portuguese band with a «unique sound».

The musical guests are, according to Câmara de Loulé, an "unusual" band in the Portuguese music scene, which will play "essentially rock themes, combining the instrumental virtuosity of its elements and the excellence of its timeless compositions, arrangements and interpretations, to the eclectic musical taste, passing through its classical origins and continuing through rock, contemporary popular music and a wide range of other musical styles».

Flyboard IIalready the two flyboarders that will be present and will make a demonstration, around midnight, on the beach in front of Praça do Mar in Quarteira, will be illuminated «with the reflections of the LEDs of their suits and lighting systems, following the rhythm of the music and fountains of pyrotechnics that will beautify this sea spectacle.

O flyboard it is “an invention of French competition pilot Frank Zapata, who installs powerful water jets on a small board attached to the pilot's feet and also other jets carried by the pilot with his hands, in order to control his balance. When activated, the water jets propell the pilot upwards, and he must control the contraption as if it were a skateboard, with the movement of his feet, and also with the water jets that are in his hands. A jet ski serves as a pressure pump for the water, and has the power to take the passenger up to ten meters high», described the Loulé Council.

The night will also be lively with a dance show with various performances, as well as a dawn dedicated to dance music, provided by elements of the project DJ DrumsProjx by Sylva Drums, which brings together Sylva Drums (DJ and percussions), Sérgio Almeida (djembé and didgeridoo) and Hélio Perfeito (flute).
«A DJ/percussionist and two other musicians come together on the same stage, to show all the music that their music is made of and in which they can all converge: deep house and aboriginal incantations, techno and Africa in full, tribal and rhythms Latin Americans”, according to the Louléan autarchy.
