The 23rd edition of the Algarve Classic Cars, a rally of historic regularity, included in the calendar of the Portuguese Federation of Automobiles and Karting and the International Federation of Antique Vehicles, is taking place in the Algarve region, from Friday until this Sunday, 12 July .
For the seventeenth year and following an agreement signed between the event's organizers and the Portuguese public television station, the RTP Trophy is up for grabs.
The support base is at the Tivoli Marina de Vilamoura, from where competitors depart for road routes.
The test includes two courses:
Tourist route, in which the participant does not have to perform the regularity tests, only doing the maneuverability circuits, with a special classification for the adherents.
Sports route, in which the participant has to perform the 16 special classification tests and in which the organization will be very strict, with regard to compliance with the competition regulations.
The timing of the event is done by My Time/Anube, with the most modern and innovative timing system for sporting events, which transmits the results online.
