The Race Mar Azul returns to the beaches of Ilha de Tavira (Barril, Terra Estreita and Ilha de Tavira) on July 19th. The athletics competition, which starts at 10:00 am, is open to federated and non-federated athletes and is completely run on the sand.
The race will consist of two courses. The mini-race, on a 2 km path, starts at Terra Estreita and
it is aimed at children's and initiated classes. The Mar Azul race, over a distance of 5 km, starts at Praia do Barril and heads to the other levels. Both races end on the beach at Ilha de Tavira.
The gathering of children and beginners athletes is scheduled for 10:00 am at Terra Estreita beach and the other levels will meet at Praia do Barril at 10:30 am.
Registration is open until the 16th of July.
