On October 28, 2014, Terras do Infante, of which Lagos holds the presidency of the Board of Directors, unanimously approved the granting of a subsidy to the NECI to acquire a vehicle for the transport of users, in the amount of 48.516,93 euros .

The allocation of this amount was based on a request made by NECI to Terras do Infante, in the summer of last year, in order to approve an amount that could help in the purchase of vehicles to transport users of the institution to the municipalities of Lagos, Aljezur and Vila do Bispo.

The institution explained that, among the NECI transport vans, there are two with more than 550 kilometers and at the end of their life. At the time, the president of that Nucleus mentioned that “the association, as well as the mayors of Aljezur, Lagos and Vila do Bispo, are imbued with a spirit of cooperation with the aim of helping institutions involved in participation and life improvement for all those who unfortunately need us”.

The subsidy amount has now ended up being applied to the acquisition of a new 9-seater van (seven users + driver and guard) – financed 100% by Terras do Infante – and to repair the vehicle fleet that the institution already has at its service .

In addition to various aspects, its main social responses are the Occupational Activities Center (CAO) and Early Intervention.

In May last year, its Residential Home was inaugurated, which also had financial contributions from the Councils of Lagos, Aljezur and Vila do Bispo, which have cherished and unconditionally supported this institution since its inception.
