One wounded is the result of the fire that started tonight, at 20:29 pm, near Makro and Algartalhos, in the Areal Gordo area, on the outskirts of Faro.
District Operational Relief Command (CDOS) source told Sul Informação that the fire started in an area "with debris, especially wooden pallets", but quickly "complicated, with a lot of flames", to the point of fear that it would "grab into the houses and warehouses" existing in that area.
For this reason, the fire, which at this time is not yet fully extinguished, was attacked in force by 37 operational and 12 Fire Brigade vehicles. Faro and Olhão, with INEM resources still being present.
The wounded is "a civilian," added the source from the CDO.
