RUI MASSENA PORTRAIT FOR PROMOTIONAL USERui Massena will be at the Municipal Auditorium in Albufeira on the 10th of June. The conductor will present his album “Solo” in concert, where he reveals his facet as a composer, at 21 pm.

«These are pieces on the piano, where I mirror my inner world, be it a moment or a love. I wanted them to build a record as a whole that would convey tranquility to me», says Rui Massena about this album.

Rui Massena was the main guest conductor of the Symphonic Orchestra of Rome during the 2009/2011 seasons and was the first Portuguese conductor to conduct at Carnegie Hall in New York (2007).

In Portugal, he has already worked on a record closer to pop, with names like Expensive Soul or Da Weasel. He was artistic director and principal conductor of the Orquestra Clássica da Madeira (2000 and 2012), having worked with names such as José Carreras, Ute Lemper, Wim Mertens, Ivan Lins, José Cura or Mário Laginha and Bernardo Sasseti.

Tickets, which cost 5 euros for children and young people between 6 and 18 years old, and 10 euros for those over 18, are on sale at the Lídia Jorge Municipal Library/CIAC-GAM (weekdays, from 9:00 am to 16:30 pm), Auditorium Albufeira Municipal (on the day of the show, from 9:00 am to 21:15 pm).
