Nuno Matos and Filipe Serra, in cars, António Maio, in motorcycles, António Moreira, in Quads and Teo Viñaras in Buggys, were the winners of the Baja European City of Sport, which took place this weekend in Loulé, and which was held also by Almodôvar and Alcoutim.

In the competition reserved for cars, the two main favorites, Miguel Barbosa and João Ramos, were forced to retire when they discussed the leadership, with problems in their vehicles.

The duo Nuno Matos/Filipe Serra, who were riding close to the top places, took advantage, reached the first place winning two Selective Sectors and now lead the national championship.

In second place was Hélder Oliveira/Nuno Rodrigues da Silva, at the wheel of a Nissan Navara Offroad. A problem with assisted steering delayed him in the prologue, but the Barcelos driver made a race in recovery, making the best performance of the season.

Alejandro Martins and José Marques in Toyota Hilux finished in third place, which represents the best result of their career.

In the T2 category, after a heated fight between three competitors, the victory smiled to Eduardo Mota, navigated by Manuel Mas in Nissan Pathfinder. The list of winners also includes, in T8, Alexandre Mota/Luís Martins in Nissan Navara and in the T3 group Ricardo Nascimento and Cláudio Marques in Nissan NM Proto.

On motorcycles, António Maio (Yamaha) signed the third consecutive win of the season, having dominated throughout the race, ending with a 2m39s advantage over Mário Patrão (KTM).

The battle for third place and the TT1 class was between Rúben Faria and Gustavo Gaudêncio, who changed positions several times, but Gaudêncio outperformed by 2,4 seconds. Luís Teixeira (Yamaha) entered the fight for the podium, but chose to manage the race, finishing in 5th position, but winning in the TT3. Victories by Ludgero Sousa in Veterans, João Piloto in Promotion and Tiago Santos in Loulé in the Hobby class.

In buggys/UTV, despite having initially dominated, the duo João Lopes/Bruno Santos was forced to give up, ending the victorious series in the championship. On an international podium, the victory went to Spaniard Teofilo Viñaras, followed by Miguel Jordão and Frenchwoman Dorothée Ferreira, all at the wheel of Polaris RZR. In the quads he won António Moreira (Yamaha), ahead of André Jesus (Kawasaki) and Tiago Gomes (Suzuki). Paulo Fernandes was the Hobby winner, followed by José Nunes.
