Enrollments for the Free Time Occupation Program of the Municipality of Aljezur (PROTEL) are open until the 19th of June. The initiative aims to occupy the free time of young people, the elderly or unemployed people in the county.
According to Aljezur city council, the program aims to "respond to the needs of inclusion and promotion of social development of these groups".
Protel has two aspects, the first is aimed at young students between the ages of 16 and 25, who carry out activities such as supporting initiatives related to the Blue Flag, sporting holidays or the Tourism Office.
The other aspect is aimed at retired people, pensioners and non-subsidized unemployed, aged over 18, residing in the municipality of Aljezur, in order to develop activities such as beach cleaning, museum surveillance, general maintenance operations, among others.
