The Benagil cave was considered today by The Guardian as one of the «10 natural wonders of the world… you've probably never heard of».

The British newspaper says that there is «a feeling of “another world” in this unusual rock formation in the Algarve, that creates a kind of vault and natural stone arches».

The publication states that this is one of «several recesses in the cliffs near the fishing village of Benagil, which can be visited by boat» – in this case it is the only option – also highlighting «isolated beaches along the coast of Lagoa».

The Guardian emphasizes that “if the sea is calm, it is possible to swim” in the cave and suggests “an adventure of paddleboard” to enjoy the “quiet environment at a slower pace”.
